Temple University Commencement

Temple University's commencement is a momentous occasion that celebrates the academic achievements of its graduating students. The ceremony typically includes speeches from distinguished guests, the conferral of degrees, and the traditional cap and gown attire. It is a time for students to reflect on their accomplishments and for families and friends to share in the joy of this significant milestone. The specific details of the commencement, such as the schedule, guest speakers, and other ceremonial elements, can vary from year to year.

As an Alum of Temple’s Klein College of Communications & Media it has been a proud full circle moment to have the opportunity to produce the main university ceremony along side chair Betsy Tutleman for the main university ceremony, consisting of over 10,000 attendees. Additionally, as Show Caller during the proceedings, Dan lead the technical crew in executing live cues and broadcasting of the ceremony to various in-venue destinations plus offsite simulcasting and social streaming. Prior to the ceremony Dan handled Production Manager responsibilities for the technical build outs at the Liacouras Center, and other ancillary locations for smaller College ceremonies at various sites around campus, including the Klein College’s ceremonies in McGonigle Hall.
